CELLAR DOOR & RESTAURANT
Our cellar door and restaurant offers tastings, wine sales and a truly memorable dining experience. We hand picked our talented team of chef’s to lead our Boydell’s restaurant. In their capable hands, you can expect a delectable, contemporary menu with a strong focus on locally sourced produce. The menu changes seasonally, always with Boydell’s wines in mind, to create a wonderfully harmonious experience.
Our sunny courtyard is the perfect spot for springtime dining, and the large open fireplace in the heart of the cellar door, keeps us cosy in the winter months.
With it’s rustic wooden beams and corrugated iron, our unique cellar door nods to the colonial past. Charles Boydell’s journals tell us that he regularly made the voyage from Paterson to Morpeth via paddle steamer – we wanted to capture this authenticity to honour our namesake.
Our cellar door is open Wednesday – Sunday and our Restaurant is open Thursday- Sunday for lunch and dinner. Delicious bar food is available in the cellar door when the restaurant is closed. Bookings are available for functions and groups. Smaller groups and those who stumble upon us whilst exploring Morpeth are always welcome to just drop in, however bookings are encourage to avoid disappointment.
