We Love the Rizza

Friday 14 March is Riesling Day at Boydell’s.

We’re hosting a celebration of Boydell’s Riesling, or as it’s affectionately known by the team, “Rizza”. Crisp, dry, and so refreshing, it’s the perfect varietal to kick off your weekend.

We’ll take a look at three vintages, and two regions paired with three tasty bites prepared by Chef Michael. See if you agree with his pairings, take home a few new Riesling facts, learn about regional differences & discover how Riesling evolves over time. This will be a relaxed tasting for crisp, dry, white wine lovers.

  • 2022 Hunter Valley Riesling  + Lemon myrtle crumbed Goat Cheese bon bon
  • 2023 Clare Valley Riesling + Cured Salmon Tartare with green apple, orange creme fraiche
  • 2021 Clare Valley Riesling + Comte cheese, toasted almond wafer
We’ve also convinced Dan to release some of the back vintage Rieslings from the cellar so you can take a few home to share your new learnings with family & friends, or for a quiet tipple with the freshest local seafood for an indulgent evening at home.
